Fundraising

As a small, independent charity we are largely reliant on the generosity of our patients; a generosity which last year totalled around £130,000. That is to be compared with the cost of running the Centre which is closer to £264,000 in one year. The difference is made up of donations from individuals, companies and organisations as well as research grants from pharmaceutical companies and other grant-giving bodies.

What can you do?

There are various ways in which you can help the Centre, so please have a look at under the different headings to see what would suit you best.

We have gathered some fundraising ideas here. These include events and sponsored runs/rides and other challenges.

For example you can see what legacies can do - did you know that many charities raise approximately one quarter of their funds through legacies?

Then there is Gift Aid which adds just over a quarter to any donation you make to the Centre if you are a UK taxpayer.

We also ask you to consider making a regular donation to the Centre and you can read more on why regular donations are so useful to us.

Finally you can find out more on how we are funded (including our annual accounts) here.
